Google Chrome web browser coming to Windows 8 Metro

Google Chrome in Metro Mode

Google have began work on the Chrome web browser that will work on the upcoming Windows 8 in both desktop and metro mode. Currently this version of Chrome will only work on the x86 environment, which means that Windows 8 powered by ARM processors will not be able to run Google Chrome.

The Metro version of Google Chrome isn't much of a change from the original desktop version of Chrome, it looks almost identical to the original version. This new release will however take advantage of full screen in Metro and integrate with some of Windows 8's system functionality like: Charms and Snap-View.

Users will be able to try out the Google Chrome in Windows 8 Metro mode in the next Chrome Dev Channel release.
